We have worked on multiple projects where the historical significance of the building is of vital importance to the owner and/or design team. We have worked on historic restoration projects for First Methodist Church in Johnson City, the Washington County Courthouse in Jonesborough, and renovation of the old American Electric Power building in downtown Kingsport into the Corporate Headquarters for TriSummit Bank. S. B. White embraces the challenges of getting modern energy efficient HVAC systems installed with latest in energy management controls while minimizing the amount of changes to the original building structure and character. We have worked on quite a few projects in downtown Johnson City including renovating of the old train depot into Tupelo Honey restaurant, converting the old parking garage into the Downtown JC Campus for Northeast State and multiple projects at WJHL television station which resides in the old main post office for Johnson City. We have also done projects for Hands-On Museum in downtown Johnson City, the historic Eureka Inn in downtown Jonesborough as well as the Rocky Mount historic site between Johnson City and Piney Flats.
