Our Work
Northeast State – Downtown Johnson City Campus
S. B. White was the low bidder for the new HVAC system replacement for an exciting project in downtown Johnson City. We installed the new watersource heat pump heating and cooling system in the old parking garage/courthouse that was being renovated to become the new Johnson City campus for Northeast State Community College. This project started in early 2014 and had to be finished in 90 days. It involved replacing the existing closed circuit cooling tower with a new BAC tower and installing new Lochinvar Sync high efficiency natural gas boilers. We also installed new Bell & Gossett main loop pumps and Florida Heat Pump watersource heat pumps with all associated ductwork and associated condenser water loop piping. We changed out the main ventilation exhaust fans and added a new Johnson Controls building management direct digital HVAC controls system. The design was done by Ken Stuckwish of West Welch Reed Engineers, Inc out of Knoxville for local architectural firm Shaw & Shanks Architects, PC.
