Our Work
Washington County Archives
S. B. White has completed a complete renovation and restoration of the old First National Bank building in Historic Downtown Jonesborough to house the extensive collection of archives for Washington County, TN. Being the oldest town in Tennessee, you can imagine how many old documents, deeds, records, etc there are and there needed to be a safe place to store them with proper indoor air climate control to preserve them for years to come. Tony Street with Beeson, Lusk & Street served as the architect for the project and J. E. Green Company in Johnson City was the general contractor. Modern shelving and lighting systems were installed as well as a complete new HVAC system designed to maintain temperature and humidity within close tolerances required for preservation. The system utilizes a chiller and boiler along with fan coil units and a Greenheck dedicated roof mounted 100% outside air ventilation system. We appreciate being able to be part of another restoration project to repurpose an old structure and give it a new purpose in a modern world.
